By placing an order with London Metal Store, you agree to these Terms & Conditions. Nothing in these terms limits or excludes any statutory rights that cannot legally be excluded.
1. Consumer and Business Customers
London Metal Store supplies both consumers and business customers.
If you are purchasing wholly or mainly for purposes outside your trade, business, craft or profession, you may have additional statutory rights under applicable UK consumer law.
If you are purchasing in connection with a business, trade, craft or profession, the transaction may be treated as a business-to-business transaction and certain consumer protections may not apply.
2. Placing an Order
When you place an order, you are making an offer to purchase the products or services shown in your order.
Orders are subject to acceptance, stock availability, payment authorisation and our ability to fulfil the requested specification.
We reserve the right to refuse or cancel an order where reasonably necessary, including where:
- A product is unavailable
- A price or product specification has been displayed incorrectly
- Payment cannot be authorised
- We cannot reasonably fulfil a custom specification
- There is suspected fraud or misuse
If we cancel an order after payment has been taken, the relevant amount will be refunded.
3. Product Information
We aim to ensure that product descriptions, specifications, dimensions, prices and images are accurate and up to date.
Images are provided for general guidance and actual products may vary slightly in colour, surface finish, grain, texture or appearance due to manufacturing processes, material batches, lighting and screen settings.
Metal products may show normal manufacturing, handling or storage marks where appropriate to the stated finish.
Customers are responsible for checking that the selected material, grade, thickness, dimensions and finish are suitable for their intended application.
If a particular surface appearance, tolerance or technical specification is critical to your project, please contact us before ordering.
4. Prices and VAT
Unless otherwise stated, prices displayed on the website are exclusive of VAT.
VAT will be applied at the applicable rate and shown during checkout.
Delivery charges are separate unless expressly stated otherwise.
We may change product prices at any time before an order is placed.
5. Pricing Errors
We take reasonable care to ensure that prices shown on the website are correct.
If an obvious pricing, technical or data-entry error occurs, we may contact you before fulfilling the order to explain the error and provide the correct price.
You will then have the option to continue at the corrected price or cancel the affected item or order.
If payment has already been taken and the order is cancelled, the relevant payment will be refunded.
6. Payment
Available payment methods are shown during checkout and may change from time to time.
Orders will normally only be processed once the required payment has been successfully authorised or other agreed payment arrangements have been confirmed.
Customers are responsible for providing accurate billing, contact and payment information.
7. Availability
All products and services are subject to availability.
Stock information may change and an item displayed as available may occasionally become unavailable before an order is processed.
If we are unable to supply an item, we will contact you and, where applicable, refund any amount already paid for that item.
8. Delivery
Delivery charges are calculated separately and shown during checkout.
Free delivery is available on eligible orders over £110 + VAT, subject to applicable product, size, weight and location restrictions.
Stock items will normally be dispatched as soon as reasonably possible after payment has cleared.
Any delivery dates or lead times provided are estimates only and may be affected by stock availability, cutting or fabrication requirements, courier delays, supplier delays, product size or weight, access restrictions, severe weather or other circumstances outside our reasonable control.
Long, heavy or oversized products may require specialist transport and additional delivery charges.
Where an additional charge is required after an order has been placed, we will contact you before dispatch.
Further information is available in our Shipping Policy.
9. Delivery Address and Access
Customers are responsible for providing a complete and accurate delivery address.
Additional charges may apply where incorrect information results in redirection, failed delivery or re-delivery.
Please ensure there is suitable access for the delivery vehicle and appropriate arrangements for safely receiving large or heavy products.
10. Risk and Responsibility for Goods
For consumer orders, responsibility for the goods passes in accordance with applicable consumer law.
For business orders, unless otherwise agreed in writing, risk will normally pass when the goods are delivered to the agreed delivery location.
Please inspect delivered goods as soon as reasonably possible.
11. Damaged, Missing or Incorrect Goods
If goods arrive damaged, incomplete or incorrect, please contact us promptly.
Please provide:
- Your order number
- A description of the problem
- Photographs of the goods and packaging where appropriate
Please retain the goods and packaging until we confirm whether they are required for inspection or collection.
Nothing in this section limits statutory rights that apply to consumer purchases.
12. Consumer Right to Cancel
If you are a consumer purchasing qualifying standard goods online or through another distance-selling method, you will generally have the right to cancel the contract within the cancellation period provided by applicable consumer law.
For most qualifying goods, the cancellation period is 14 days beginning the day after the goods are received.
You must inform us clearly that you wish to cancel.
Where a valid cancellation right applies, goods should normally be returned within the applicable statutory period.
13. Cut-to-Size, Bespoke and Custom Products
The statutory change-of-mind cancellation right does not generally apply to goods made to the customer's specifications or clearly personalised.
This may include products that have been:
- Cut to a customer's specific dimensions
- Folded to specification
- Welded or fabricated to order
- Powder coated to a selected specification
- Profiled, drilled or otherwise specially processed
- Made or altered specifically for the customer
Please check all dimensions, quantities, material grades, thicknesses and specifications carefully before placing a custom order.
This does not affect your rights if goods are faulty, damaged, incorrectly supplied or not as described.
14. Additional Fabrication Services
Additional services may include cutting, folding, welding, profiling, powder coating and other fabrication work.
Once work has started on a bespoke or customised order, cancellation may not be possible.
If you request cancellation before work is completed, please contact us immediately. We will confirm whether work can be stopped and whether any costs have already been incurred.
15. Faulty Goods and Consumer Rights
If you are a consumer, goods must meet the standards required by applicable consumer law, including being of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose where relevant, and as described.
If you believe an item is faulty, please contact us as soon as reasonably possible with your order details and evidence of the issue.
Your statutory rights are not limited by these Terms & Conditions.
16. Returns
Return eligibility depends on the nature of the product, whether the customer is acting as a consumer or business, and whether the item has been customised or processed.
Please contact us before returning any goods so that we can provide the appropriate instructions.
Goods should not be returned without prior agreement where specialist transport, oversized products or custom materials are involved.

Click & Collect is available for eligible orders from:

You may be asked to provide your order number and suitable identification.
Customers collecting long, large or heavy metal products are responsible for ensuring that their vehicle is suitable and that products can be transported and secured safely and legally.
18. Force Majeure
We will not be responsible for delays or failure to perform our obligations where caused by circumstances outside our reasonable control.
These may include severe weather, fire, flood, strikes, transport disruption, supplier shortages, equipment failure, utility disruption, civil disturbance, government restrictions or similar events.
19. Liability
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability where doing so would be unlawful.
To the extent permitted by law, London Metal Store will not be responsible for indirect or consequential losses arising from delays, unavailable stock or circumstances outside our reasonable control.
Business customers are responsible for ensuring that materials and products purchased are suitable for their intended use and that appropriate professional or technical advice is obtained where required.
20. Website Information
We may update product information, website content, prices and availability from time to time.
