At London Metal Store, we supply Zintec steel sheet in standard sheet sizes or cut to your required dimensions for fabrication, panels, repairs and general metalworking applications.

Zintec Steel Sheet

Zintec is a cold-rolled steel product coated with a thin layer of zinc using an electrolytic process.

The zinc coating provides improved corrosion resistance compared with untreated mild steel while maintaining a smooth surface suitable for fabrication and finishing.

We stock Zintec steel sheet in a range of thicknesses and sizes. Sheets can also be cut to size to your required length and width, subject to available parent sheet dimensions, stock and cutting limitations.

Order online for UK delivery or select Click & Collect from London Metal Store.

Zintec Steel Properties

Zintec steel offers a practical combination of workability, surface quality and improved corrosion resistance.

Key characteristics include:

  • Electro-zinc-coated steel surface
  • Improved corrosion resistance compared with untreated mild steel
  • Smooth and uniform surface
  • Good formability
  • Suitable for welding and fabrication
  • Suitable for painting and finishing
  • Best suited to indoor or controlled environments

The exact performance of Zintec steel will depend on the coating specification, fabrication method, finish and environment in which it is used.

Zintec Steel Finish

Zintec steel has a thin, uniform zinc coating applied to the surface through an electrolytic process.

The coating gives the sheet a smoother appearance than many hot-dip galvanised products and provides improved corrosion resistance compared with untreated mild steel.

Cutting, drilling, welding or other fabrication processes can affect the protective zinc coating, particularly around cut edges and processed areas.

If corrosion resistance or final surface appearance is particularly important for your project, please contact our sales team before ordering.

Zintec Steel Sheet Cut to Size

Our cut-to-size Zintec steel sheet service allows you to order sheet to your required length and width, subject to available parent sheet dimensions and applicable cutting limitations.

Ordering Zintec steel sheet cut to size can help:

  • Reduce material waste
  • Save fabrication time
  • Reduce additional cutting on site
  • Make smaller sections easier to handle
  • Provide material closer to your required dimensions

Additional fabrication services, including folding and powder coating, may also be available depending on your requirements.

Please contact our team before ordering if additional processing is required.

Custom order notice: Please check your required dimensions carefully before placing a custom order. Cut-to-size, made-to-measure and specially processed products cannot normally be cancelled or returned once work has started, unless the goods are faulty, damaged, supplied incorrectly or not as described.

Common Uses of Zintec Steel Sheet

Zintec steel sheet is commonly used for:

  • General fabrication
  • Vehicle body repairs
  • Door panels and reinforcement
  • Electrical and equipment panels
  • Enclosures and housings
  • Interior metalwork
  • Fabricated components
  • Projects requiring painting or powder coating

Its smooth surface and zinc coating make Zintec useful for fabricated parts where improved corrosion resistance and a clean surface for finishing are required.
