London Metal Store supplies a wide range of aluminium products for metalworking, furniture, and everyday commercial use across the UK. Aluminium is a lightweight, corrosion-resistant metal valued for its low density, durability, and cost-effective performance across many applications.
Our aluminium products are available to order online, with clear size, pricing, and availability details shown on each product page.
About Aluminium
Aluminium is a light weight, corrosion-resistant metal used across industrial kitchens, trailers, signage, window frames, and general construction work. As the most abundant metal in the earth’s crust, aluminium offers a cost-effective solution across a wide range of aluminium products.
Pure aluminium forms a natural aluminium oxide layer that protects the surface from further corrosion. This oxide layer makes aluminium highly corrosion-resistant in outdoor and moisture-exposed environments. The material is highly conductive, with strong electrical conductivity suited to electrical conductors and related applications.
Aluminium alloys adjust physical properties such as strength and melting point to suit different uses. Aluminium is non-toxic and widely used in cooking utensils, aluminium foil, thin foil products, and beverage packaging.
Aluminium Sheet
Aluminium sheet is widely used where low density and corrosion resistance matter. We stock aluminium sheet with a protective coating on one side to reduce surface damage during handling and storage.
Common aluminium alloys include the 1000 series and 5000 series. The 1000 series contains high levels of pure aluminium and is closely linked with thin foil and aluminium foil products. The 5000 series offers highly corrosion-resistant performance and is often used in moisture-exposed environments, including beverage packaging.
Aluminium Checker Plate
Aluminium checker plate features a raised five-bar pattern that adds grip and surface texture. It is commonly used for flooring areas, access points, and loading zones. The material keeps aluminium’s low density while offering strong resistance to corrosion.
All aluminium checker plate is supplied in grade 5754, with a range of sizes and thicknesses available from stock.
Aluminium Stucco Sheet
Aluminium stucco sheets have an embossed surface pattern that adds texture and visual detail. It is commonly used for decorative panels and surface protection while maintaining aluminium’s corrosion-resistant properties.
If you require a different size and thickness not shown on our website, please call our sales team on 0203 002 6353, as we are able to provide aluminium stucco sheet cut to size.
Silver Anodised Aluminium Sheet
Silver anodised aluminium sheet has a consistent surface finish created through anodising, which forms a controlled oxide layer. This improves surface durability and corrosion resistance.
The material is widely used for window frames, signage, and interior metalwork. Anodised aluminium is non toxic and appears in applications linked to food additives and cooking utensils. All sheets are supplied with a protective plastic coating on one side.
Expanded Aluminium Sheet
Expanded aluminium sheets are produced by cutting and stretching aluminium metal to form an open mesh pattern. The open structure provides ventilation and visibility while retaining low weight and corrosion resistance.
Expanded aluminium sheet is commonly used in commercial, industrial, and decorative settings.

Aluminium Kick Plate
Aluminium kick plates protect doors from wear in commercial buildings, retail spaces, and high-traffic areas. A kick plate is a piece of aluminium metal that protects doors when people push them open with their feet, which can be useful when carrying materials.
We stock kick plates at 1.5mm thickness and 150mm width with a length that ranges from 615mm to 915mm.
Aluminium Finger Plate
Aluminium finger plates are used to protect doors at push points from marking and surface damage. The material is chosen for commercial buildings, retail spaces, and high-traffic areas where door surfaces require protection. We stock aluminium finger plates in a range of sizes.
Angle Aluminium
Angle aluminium is stocked in commonly used aluminium alloys and is widely used for general metalwork and edging uses. The 6000 series aluminium alloy contains magnesium and silicon and is commonly used for extrusions and bars.
Aluminium Tube
Aluminium tubes are lightweight and used mainly in commercial applications, furniture manufacturing, aerospace applications, and general metalworking uses. Aluminium tube provides good strength and can be used for cutting and shaping.
Box Aluminium
Box aluminium is commonly used for frames and general metalwork. It stays easy to handle, with stock sizes and full dimensions listed on each product page.
Flat Bar Aluminium
Flat bar aluminium is used for gates, railings, fencing, and decorative work. The material is also typically used for machinery parts, furniture and storage.
Also referred to as a rectangular bar, a flat bar is measured by first taking its width and then its thickness. We stock flat bar aluminium in a range of sizes.
Round Bar Aluminium
Round bar aluminium suits mechanical components, furniture, and decorative work. The material is used mainly in applications where cylindrical sections are specified. We stock round bar aluminium in a range of diameters and lengths.
As a highly conductive material with good electrical conductivity, the round bar suits electrical conductor applications. The silvery white metal maintains high reflectivity and corrosion resistance.
Channel Aluminium
Channel aluminium is commonly used in commercial and industrial applications. The material is supplied in consistent profiles. Channel aluminium provides a clean aesthetic look and is commonly used for edging and trim work. We have a wide range of aluminium channel options available from stock in a choice of widths, lengths, and thicknesses.
If you don't see the specification you require, don't hesitate to contact our team.
Aluminium Rectangular Box Section
Aluminium rectangular box sections are used where a rectangular hollow profile is required. The hollow rectangular section keeps weight low where rectangular proportions are specified. We stock aluminium rectangular box sections in a choice of sizes, with dimensions shown on the product page.
Aluminium Corner Trim
Aluminium corner trim is light-weight and protects corners from impact damage. The material is used mainly for edge protection on walls, columns, and other commercial and residential settings. Aluminium corner trim provides a clean finished edge and protects exposed corners. We stock aluminium corner trim in a range of angles and leg lengths.
The corrosion-resistant nature of the silvery white metal means the corner trim maintains its appearance without rust staining.
Aluminium Grades and Properties
Aluminium grades are selected based on strength, corrosion resistance, and forming characteristics. Different aluminium alloys are suited to sheet, box section, tube, flat bar, and other aluminium products available from stock.
Aluminium production begins with raw material sources, and producing aluminium requires substantial amounts of electricity generated at high temperatures to release aluminium into metallic form. This process supports world production across top producer regions and ensures a consistent supply of aluminium metal.
London Metal Store stocks an extensive collection of aluminium products in a range of sizes and grades. Our sales team can advise on grade selection, free cutting service options, and bulk discounts to suit your project requirements.
