At London Metal Store, we offer professional-grade sheet metal cut to your exact specifications, delivered across the UK.
Metal Sheets
At London Metal Store, we supply a wide range of metal sheets for different applications across construction, manufacturing, metalworking, and design. Our sheet stock includes mild steel sheets, stainless steel sheets, aluminium sheets, corten steel, brass, copper, and galvanised options.
Sheet metal is metal formed into thin, flat pieces through an industrial process. This format works for projects that require accurate shaping, clean edges, and consistent thickness. Sheet metal can be cut, bent, drilled, welded, pressed, or painted, depending on the material and job.
Metal sheets are available in different sizes and thicknesses, with cut-to-size options for specific project requirements.
Orders can be placed online for delivery across the UK or Click & Collect from our London metal store.
Mild Steel Sheets
We have noticed that mild steel sheets are a popular choice for fabrication, construction, and production work. This low-carbon steel delivers strength whilst remaining ductile to support bending, welding, pressing, and forming.
Mild steel sheets suit projects that require shaping, painting, or structural support at a low cost. London Metal Store supplies mild steel sheet stock in different sizes and thicknesses, with precision cutting available to match your exact measurements.
Stainless Steel Sheets
We supply stainless steel sheets with corrosion resistance and durable surface finishes for both interior and exterior applications. Common uses include splashbacks, panels, kitchen surfaces, architectural elements, and fabricated components.
We stock stainless steel sheets, including Grade 304, Grade 316, and Grade 430. Grade 304 is used for food preparation and general use, whilst Grade 316 offers increased resistance to chemicals and salt water. Grade 430 is a magnetic stainless steel with corrosion resistance at a lower cost.
Sheets are available in dull, circular, and brushed polished finishes and can be cut to size.
Aluminium Sheets
Aluminium sheets are lightweight, corrosion-resistant, and suitable for a wide range of applications. Aluminium is widely used in construction, automotive industry projects, architectural panels, and general metalwork.
Our aluminium sheet stock is available in different thicknesses and finishes. Aluminium can be cut, bent, drilled, or painted to be used in different jobs and environments. Checker plate options are also available for applications that require added grip and durability.
Corten Steel
At London Metal Store, corten steel sheets are used for architectural and exterior projects where a weathered appearance is required. The surface develops a stable protective layer that limits further corrosion over time.
Corten steel is good for cladding, panels, and architectural and fabrication projects where both appearance and durability are important. London Metal Store currently offers a single corten steel sheet product.
Brass Sheets
Our brass sheets are used across decorative metalwork, interior fit-outs, furniture, point of sale displays, and brass worktops. Brass is an alloy of copper and zinc, known for its gold-like appearance, low-friction properties, and acoustic qualities, which is why it is widely used for both design and practical applications.
We supply brass sheets with a standard mill finish. Brushed brass sheets are supplied with a protective film and are popular for decorative projects where a natural patina is required over time.
Copper Sheets
At London Metal Store, we offer copper sheets that are commonly used for splashbacks, cladding, worktops, panels, and decorative metalwork. Copper offers excellent corrosion resistance, high thermal conductivity, and very high electrical conductivity, along with a distinctive reddish appearance that develops a natural patina over time.
We maintain a stock of copper sheet for quick delivery or collection and offers cut to size options for exact project dimensions. Copper sheets are often supplied for splashbacks, cladding, and folded applications, with experience supporting custom requirements based on customer sketches.
Galvanised Sheet Metal
Galvanised sheet metal is mild steel that has been hot-dipped in zinc for added durability. This process provides corrosion protection for projects that need to withstand harsh or corrosive environments. Zinc is naturally weather-resistant and malleable, primarily used for roofing, outdoor structures, and agricultural applications.
We stock galvanised sheets in different sizes and thicknesses. The material can be cut to your specifications for practical installation.
Silver Anodised Aluminium Sheet
Silver anodised aluminium sheets are aluminium sheets that have undergone an anodising process, which creates a durable, corrosion-resistant surface layer. This electrochemical process forms a protective oxide coating that is harder than the base aluminium and provides increased wear resistance.
Anodised aluminium is used for applications that require both aesthetic appeal and durability, such as architectural panels, signage, decorative trim, and interior fit-outs. The anodised surface accepts finishes, which is why it is popular for projects where appearance matters.
We stock silver anodised aluminium sheet in different sizes and can cut to your specifications.
Durbar Sheet Steel Checkerplate
We stock durbar sheet steel checkerplate, which is mild steel with a raised tread pattern that provides slip resistance and durability. The pattern, also known as floor plate or tread plate, is embossed into the steel surface to create grip underfoot whilst maintaining structural strength.
This material is commonly used for vehicle flooring, industrial walkways, stair treads, loading ramps, and areas where traction is needed. Durbar checkerplate is available in 3mm thickness and can be cut to size for your project. The raised pattern adds both functionality and an industrial aesthetic to metalwork projects.
Zintec Sheet
Zintec sheet is electro-galvanised mild steel, which means it has a thin zinc coating applied through an electroplating process. This coating provides corrosion protection whilst maintaining a smooth, uniform surface that is well-suited for painting and powder coating.
Zintec is used for applications that require a clean finish and moderate corrosion resistance, such as automotive panels, electrical enclosures, interior components, and fabricated parts that will receive additional finishing. We stock zintec sheet in different sizes and thicknesses, with cut to size options available.
Sheet Metal Applications
Sheet metal is used across multiple industries where strength, accuracy, and consistent shaping matter. Different materials and thicknesses are used in different environments, finishes, and production needs.
AUTOMOTIVE INDUSTRY
Sheet metal is widely used in the automotive industry for panels, structural components, and fabricated parts. Materials such as mild steel, aluminium, and stainless steel suit applications that require strength, accuracy, and consistent shaping.
Our sheet metal range supports automotive and industrial projects that depend on reliable stock, precise cutting, and dependable material quality.
METAL WORKING AND FABRICATION
We support a wide range of metal working processes. Depending on thickness and material, it can be cut using hand tools or powered equipment, bent using a press brake, or shaped through forming and pressing.
Precision cutting supports clean edges and accurate dimensions for fabrication, welding, and assembly work across different industries and project types.
