Stainless Steel Products
London Metal Store supplies a wide range of stainless steel products for fabrication, construction, catering, and general commercial use across the UK. Stainless steel is a corrosion-resistant alloy valued for its mechanical strength, durability, and low maintenance performance across many applications and industries.
Our stainless steel products are available to order online, with clear size, pricing, and availability details shown on each product page.
About Stainless Steel
Stainless steel is a corrosion-resistant alloy of iron and chromium, used across catering equipment, surgical instruments, medical devices, construction, and storage tanks. The chromium content reacts with oxygen to form a natural oxide layer on the surface, and this layer rebuilds itself if the surface is damaged, so the base metal stays protected without any additional coating or treatment. The material was historically known as rustless steel.
Stainless steel is non-toxic and hygienic, widely used across food preparation surfaces, medical equipment, and any application where cleanliness and long-term durability are priorities.
Stainless Steel Splashback
Stainless steel splashback is used for wall protection in kitchens and commercial spaces where a surface that resists heat, wipes clean, and stays hygienic is needed.
Produced from 304-grade stainless steel at 0.9mm thickness, each splashback comes with a protective coating on one side.
Stainless Steel Sheet 304 Grade Dull Polished
304 grade stainless steel sheet is widely used for splashbacks, plinths, kick plates, and general fabrication work. It carries good corrosion resistance compared to carbon and alloy steel, and all sheets come with a protective plastic coating on one side.
316 Stainless Steel Sheet Dull Polished
316 is our marine-grade stainless steel sheet, used in harsh environments, washrooms, and applications where a higher level of corrosion resistance is needed. All sheets come with a protective plastic coating on one side and are available in standard sizes or cut to exact dimensions.
Stainless Steel Sheet 430 Grade Dull Polished (Magnetic)
430 is a magnetic stainless steel sheet with good corrosion resistance compared to carbon and alloy steel. Its iron content makes it a popular choice for magnetic boards, and it is the most cost-effective stainless steel sheet in our range.
Available in standard sizes or cut to size, with a protective plastic coating on one side.
Circular Polished Stainless Steel Sheet 304
Circular stainless steel sheet features a pattern of overlapping circles that produces a decorative finish. It is commonly used in the catering industry and across other applications where a decorative surface is needed.
Supplied in 304 grade with a protective plastic coating on one side.
Unbreakable Mirror
Our unbreakable mirror carries the properties of a standard mirror without the risk of shattering. Produced from 430-grade stainless steel, it is used in bathrooms, kitchens, shops, and workplaces.
Angle Stainless Steel 304
Stainless steel angle 304 is used in trailer components, as well as in farming, fencing, and general fabrication work. The legs of the stainless steel angles form a 90-degree angle
Round Bar 304 Stainless Steel
304 stainless steel round bars are used in a wide variety of applications, including gate components, railing components, railings, fencing and for decorative purposes. Typically, our stainless steel round bars are supplied in a mill finish.
Flat Bar Stainless Steel
Stainless steel flat bar is used across mechanics, construction, ornamental work, and general fabrication. We have a large range of flat steel bars available, but if you don't see the specification you require, please call our sales team.
We tend to sell our flat bars at 2m or 3m long with a thickness of 3mm. Our width ranges from 12mm to 40mm.
Stainless Steel Tube
Stainless steel tube is used in many commercial and industrial applications. It is lightweight relative to other metals, carries good corrosion resistance, and can be cut to length for specific projects.
We have a large range of stainless steel tubes available from stock in a choice of lengths, widths and thicknesses. They tend to range from 12mm to 50mm in diameter with a thickness of either 1.2mm or 1.5mm.
Box Stainless Steel
Stainless steel box section is produced to give good strength and weldability, and is used across commercial and industrial applications where a square hollow profile is needed.
Our stainless steel box section is supplied in mill finish, but we are also able to supply it in either a satin finish or a bright polished finish.
Rectangular Box Section Stainless Steel
Rectangular stainless steel box section is commonly used in many commercial and industrial applications. They are produced to give good strength and weldability.
We have a large range of both hollow steel sections available from stock in a choice of lengths, widths and thicknesses, but if you don't see the specification you require, please call our sales team.
Metal Channel Stainless Steel
Stainless steel channel is produced by folding and is used for edging, trim, and fabrication across commercial and industrial settings. It provides a clean profile and a finish that is used for projects where appearance and durability both count.
Stainless Steel Brushed Polished Kick Plate 304
304 stainless steel kick plates protect the lower section of doors from contact damage and dirt in high-traffic areas. A kick plate lets people open doors with their feet, which is practical where materials are being handled and hygiene matters. The brushed polished finish keeps the surface easy to clean.
Stainless Steel Brushed Polished Kick Plate 316
316 grade kick plates offer the same door protection as the 304 version but with greater corrosion resistance, making them the right choice for more demanding or coastal environments.
Stainless Steel Finishes
All stainless steel angles, flat bar, tube, and box sections come in a 2B finish. Sheet products come with a protective plastic coating on one side. Dull polished and brushed polished finishes are available across the range, with mirror finish options on selected products.
Contact our sales team to discuss which surface finish works best for your project.
Stainless Steel Grades and Properties
Stainless steel production combines iron and chromium with other elements such as nickel, molybdenum, and carbon to produce alloys with different mechanical properties and levels of corrosion resistance depending on the grade.
• Austenitic stainless steel, such as grades 304 and 316, is non-magnetic and carries excellent corrosion resistance across a wide range of environments.
• Ferritic stainless steel, such as grade 430, is magnetic and cost-effective for general construction and interior applications.
• Duplex stainless steel combines both phases and is widely used in the oil and gas industry and chemical processing, where high mechanical strength and corrosion resistance are both priorities.
The material performs well at high temperatures, resists impact, and keeps its surface finish without any additional protective coatings.
Stainless Steel Applications
Stainless steel is used across construction, catering, medical equipment, and general fabrication work. Common applications include surgical instruments, medical devices, storage tanks, catering surfaces, splashbacks, wall cladding, and door fittings.
Different grades cover a wide range of project demands, from standard interior construction to more aggressive environments where other metals would corrode or need ongoing surface treatment.
